Warning: This is so easy you might start making this once a week!
Who doesn’t love banana bread? I mean I do, but not when the banana bread is so dry I start to gag😅 and my throat starts to scream for water. Don’t worry, you won’t have that experience with this recipe. This is a moist banana bread that is super easy to make as long as you follow the instructions😊.
If you have been following my recipes for a while now, you know I like to stick with simple ingredients. This way, it’s easily accessible for others. You won’t have to go to a few different grocery stores just to find that “special” ingredient. Who has time for that? No one. So, what’s not to love?!
What I love most about this moist banana bread is it’s not overly sweet! I know you see chocolates, but trust me, this banana loaf is “just right”.

Moist Banana Bread with Optional Chocolate Chips
Moist banana bread that will not disappoint. Partner this with some of your favorite tea or afternoon coffee - yum!
You will need a baking loaf pan of 9.5x5 inch or similar
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups baking flour
- 3 ripe bananas large size
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar 2/3 cups if you are skipping the chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet) optional
Instructions
-
Mashed bananas in a large bowl. Add the sugar, melted butter, egg. Mix.
Tip: If you are skipping on the chocolate chips, you may want to up your sugar a little bit. I would do 2/3 cups of sugar (instead of 1/2 cup) when skipping the chocolate chips.
-
In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
-
Pour dry mixture over liquid mixture. Add the salt and chocolate chips. Combine.
-
Grease a 9.5x5 (or similar size) loaf pan. Transfer the mixture and bake for 325° for 1 hour. Let it cool for a few minutes and serve.
