Oyster Mushroom with Garlic Recipe
The oyster mushroom is a common edible mushroom. It was first cultivated in Germany as a subsistence measure during World War I. It is now grown commercially around the world for food. It is related to the similarly cultivated king oyster mushroom.
They have a unique scent that is often described as sweet like anise or licorice. I love all edible mushrooms and I tend to make them the simplest way possible. Mushrooms on its own are usually very pungent in taste so why mess around with it? Some olive oil (or butter), chopped garlic, salt and pepper to taste and voila!
This makes a great side dish and also great as a topping for your favorite ramen. Yum, broth with some mushroom flavor is to die for!
Try this at home, will yah?!
