Moist Banana Bread with Optional Chocolate Chips

Warning: This is so easy you might start making this once a week!

Who doesn’t love banana bread? I mean I do, but not when the banana bread is so dry I start to gag😅 and my throat starts to scream for water. Don’t worry, you won’t have that experience with this recipe. This is a moist banana bread that is super easy to make as long as you follow the instructions😊.

If you have been following my recipes for a while now, you know I like to stick with simple ingredients. This way, it’s easily accessible for others. You won’t have to go to a few different grocery stores just to find that “special” ingredient. Who has time for that? No one. So, what’s not to love?!

What I love most about this moist banana bread is it’s not overly sweet! I know you see chocolates, but trust me, this banana loaf is “just right”.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups baking flour
  • 3 ripe bananas large size
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar 2/3 cups if you are skipping the chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet) optional

Instructions

  1. Mashed bananas in a large bowl. Add the sugar, melted butter, egg. Mix.

Tip: If you are skipping on the chocolate chips, you may want to up your sugar a little bit. I would do 2/3 cups of sugar (instead of 1/2 cup) when skipping the chocolate chips.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda.

  3. Pour dry mixture over liquid mixture. Add the salt and chocolate chips. Combine.

  4. Grease a 9.5x5 (or similar size) loaf pan. Transfer the mixture and bake for 325° for 1 hour. Let it cool for a few minutes and serve.
